Developing customised VR-based experiential learning solutions integrated with a Learning Management System (LMS) and a Virtual Reality (VR) immersive learning platform presents a compelling alternative to traditional three-dimensional virtual environments and simulation packages. However, experts in instructional design have highlighted the need for practical guidelines and structured methodologies for designing effective immersive learning solutions.
Virtual Reality provides learners in financial accounting with engaging, interactive, and immersive experiences, facilitating the effective implementation of experiential learning methodologies. This innovative approach enhances conceptual understanding and improves knowledge retention. However, integrating Virtual Reality into accounting education presents challenges, as most existing Learning Management Systems are designed for traditional online training and lack the functionality to host VR content effectively.
